A contoured recessed drywall niche shaped for the ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium. Its rounded-square opening follows the thermostat’s profile, while the integrated perforated mud-in flange finishes into the surrounding wall for a clean, trimless installation.
Made in white with a centered ¾″ wiring opening. The thermostat is shown for fit and is not included.

The contoured opening follows the Premium thermostat profile. The listed clear opening gives its maximum width and height, not a square passage. Verify the thermostat base, wiring route and wall-cavity clearance before cutting.
What’s included
One white contoured recessed niche with an integrated perforated mud-in flange and centered ¾″ wiring opening. Thermostat, wiring, mounting hardware and finishing materials are not included.
Installation overview
Confirm the thermostat base, wiring and wall-cavity clearance first. Cut the recommended 5⅝″ square opening and check the niche fit before finishing. Set the niche, finish the perforated flange with joint compound, then sand, prime and paint. Route wiring through the centered ¾″ opening and install the thermostat in accordance with its manufacturer’s instructions.
Use and limitations
For interior drywall use. This niche is not an electrical box or retaining bracket. Follow the thermostat manufacturer’s installation instructions and verify sensing, airflow, access and clearance requirements. No thermostat-manufacturer approval or performance certification is claimed.
